Deeper than Deep Tissue

Ashi-What! Ashi (foot) -atsu (pressure) is a deep, painless form of barefoot massage that you will love. Deep tissue massage fanatics often ask for more pressure than the therapist is able to consistently provide. Well, with Ashiatsu DeepFeet Therapy,  I have the potential of applying my entire body weight when appropriate.                                  

 I will utilize one foot or two footed strokes (while holding bars overhead for balance) to deliver the massage with effective work to spread and elongate structural change in your chronic soft tissue damage! I will go deep without even trying, delivering the perfect amount of safe pressure to commonly ignored muscle groups such as pectorals, adductors, serratus anterior, teres, and the deep 6 hip rotators! Great for Athletes!                                                                                                        

This modality requires me to be flexible, have both upper arm and abdominal strength, balance and coordination to deliveryour massage comfortably and safely.

Everyone needs to stretch, but we never make time for it. Stretching and massage therapy have been proven beneficial for many chronic conditions such as back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, infertility, smoking cessation, depression and more. Why not combine your deep tissue massage with some stretches? Thai massage is jokingly known as the Lazy mans yoga, since you just lie down, focus on your breathing, and comfortably receive delicious stretches — I do all the work for you as I stretch you into the poses!

THAI YOGA MASSAGE

I have recently been trained in this beautiful ancient art.  I do not claim to be proficient quite yet, but my previous education has definitely made this modality come fairly natural to me.

Yes...I am able and very proficient at using my hands, I just prefer to use my other hands!

 

DEEP TISSUE

Focusing on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, deep tissue massage aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or moving across the fibers of the muscles, tendons, and fascia. Also helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. The client should feel better than ever within the first day or two following the massage.

INJURY TREATMENT

Injury Treatment Massage combines deep tissue, relaxation massage, and various treatment techniques, which aims at treating a specific site of injury caused by an auto accident or on the job injury such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Treatments may include the use of heat and ice packs, as well as active and passive stretching. Each session includes pre and post assessment and recommended rehabilitation exercises to be performed at home.

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.
