is a deep, fascial, painless form of barefoot massage. fasciashi travels along the para-spinals and the lumbar region help to open the inter-vertebral disc space, increasing the space between the discs and allowing more room for the nerves to pass through. the deep compression coming from the entire broad surface of our feet can really do a number on circulation of fluids through your organs, and the intrinsic attachments of all the joints in your body.
the therapist will utilize one foot or two footed strokes to deliver the massage to create structural change in your chronic soft tissue damage! the therapist will go deep safely without even trying, delivering the perfect amount of safe pressure to commonly ignored muscle groups such as pectorals, adductors, serratus anterior, teres, and the deep 6 hip rotators!
this modality requires the therapist to be mobile, have both upper arm and abdominal strength, balance and coordination to deliver your massage comfortably and safely.

Our interns have completed the beginner/Range of Motion/Advanced FasciAshi Barefoot Massage Training. the therapist will do their best to give you a full-body barefoot massage treatment. please know that they may not get to all of your “problem” spots. the therapist will be practicing their single footed protocol of techniques. This internship program allows trained Barefoot Massage Therapists the opportunity to practice on the public, during this time they will gain the KNOWLEDGE, skill and fine-tuning need to advance in their barefoot PRACTICE. their foot palpation skills will increase day by daY, mAKING IT POSSIBLE To map the topography of your tissue and structure of your personal anatomy, all while working up to their OFFICIAL certification. Our interns are practicing until practically perfect before THEIR official employment at Barefoot Space. Dawn R Dotson, owner, instructor and lead lmt will DEFINITELY drop in to view, assist and give feedback to both you and your intern therapist

In each class we will master a few simple exercises to practice at home. Each class will review and build on previous lessons.
Handout materials will support your learning.
Class is small to allow for individual attention and questions.
The approach is very conservative recognizing that there are many conditions that lead to lower back pain.
